Why stop a good initiative?

After much publicity the Health Department in conjunction with six local councils started free aerobics classes for the public. The classes ran successfully and with excellent public  response from February 2008 up until recently when they were abruptly suspended by the Health Department for reasons as yet unknown to the public (this reminds me of the pharmacy of your choice scheme!).

The courses were meant from the outset to flourish to other local councils throughout the country.  This sudden termination has left many followers of the courses perplexed and disappointed and it is completely unclear whether the involved local councils without the financial and promotional back-up of the Health Department  can be in a position to re-organise aerobics courses on their own and free of charge.
